WHY:
Helping Kids Rise promotes literacy, education, and social justice awareness through diverse children's books, positive images, and resources for parents and educators. Studies show that a child's ability to read at grade level by the end of the 4th grade, is a major indicator of future success - in school and in life. One way to get kids excited about reading is to give them access to books they can connect with. However lack of access to quality books is a barrier for many families. We want to change that.

WHAT:
In an effort to get quality books with positive representation into the hands of more children, we keep little free book libraries stocked for families in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
